Hello World!

At last!  Thanks to an early Christmas present, I can finally post photos to the interweb!  So in the interest of getting this show on the road, here's a quick recap of Isaac's first two months:

burrito baby
Here he is!  8lbs, 3oz.  21 inches long.  He was born a little cold - enough so that he needed to spend a couple minutes in the warmer - and for the first few weeks would scream his tiny head off whenever he was uncovered or cold, so we kept him wrapped up tight.

I was particularly taken with our matching bracelets.
 Ok, one more. . .

We brought him home on an unseasonably warm day and were met in the backyard by housemates and chickens

Week Two
Greg had to attend the Synod's new pastor's orientation in Indiana five days after Monster was born.  Fortunately, the organizers, lovely as they are, invited us to accompany him.  They gave us a lovely room overlooking the retreat center's labyrinth.  It was great to have Greg so close by.  We had our meals in the cafeteria with everyone else, went walking around the grounds and took long naps in the sun.
already so alert

Week Three:
We drove down to Cincinnati for Greg's high school reunion.  Maybe not the best idea, but it worked out ok.

Week Four:

Week Five:
Kitchen remodeling chased us out into the coach house for a couple of weeks.  Monster was up and down all night, every night and would spend the wee hours grunting LOUDLY.  But he was always super-charming in the morning.

Week Six:
Great-Grandpa visited for Isaac's one-month birthday, along with Aunt Kalyn and Grandmom and Grandpa L-K

Week Seven:

Week Ten:

Two months old!  A big week for a little monster,  We celebrated both Thanksgiving and Greg's birthday, and made another visit to our favorite pediatrician, Dr. Locke.

Isaac got his first vaccines at his two month visit.  He took the first shot like a champ, whimpered at the second, and screamed bloody murder after the third.
